1st X1 118-9 v Doncaster 119-4 Batting first United got off to a poor start losing quick early wickets, at one stage the score read a miserable 54-8. The only resistance came from youngster Adam Thorpe (29) and Andrew Plummer (23) which took United’s total to a ‘sheepish’ 118-9 in their allotted overs. Doncaster made quick work of reaching the 119 runs for victory. It took just 27.3 overs with Andrew Parkin-Coates top scoring with 43, well supported by Graham Attenborough 36. United managed to take 4 wickets, however this doesn’t take anything away from a disappointing performance.
